Hi all, I posted a while back to say I was in an appeals process after being dismissed for wilful delay. I had my appeal 7 weeks ago now which went very well, they have had no evidence to back up their reasons for why I was dismissed and broke multiple procedures during the investigation process.

I spoke to the divisional rep who represented me at my appeal and he told me they have a 60 day limit to complete the appeal from the day the appeal is submitted. As it stands it is now 59 working days and what I want to know is what happens if the 60 days pass without any news?

The union rep wasn't sure but im sure I've read somewhere that if the 60 days pass then it will be found in my favour. Does anybody know if that's correct?

No doubt it will turn up today or tomorrow but just want know what a possible outcome might be if it doesn't.

I know somebody who was in an appeal process and that took over 3 months .Do not count on royal mail honouring timescales .They will always come out with an excuse for delaying saying it is complicated. I hope your rep has talked about an employment trial and putting you in for it depending on your chances. You have 89 days to be in an et or you will be out of time. the clock starts from the day you were fired.

`They had no evidence :silenced ` according to the latest two cases I've dealt with they only need reasonable belief that you `might`have done something. :roll: :no no

Hi. If I was you, I would log an ET form straight away as RM will then been informed you did so and things might speed up a bit. I am surprised your rep didn't tell you that as mine did tell me that usually speed things up, specially when they are in the wrong. You can, I think, do it online but DO NOT WAIT your appeal decision as they will drag it to the last day so it will be too late for you to go to an ET.

Well thats the 60 day time limit gone, post has just been and nothing again.
