Prep testing..Walk Sequenced mail

What is the time scale for a tray of walk sequenced mail to be prep in...Any other info on the numbers involved for prep testing would be most helpful...thanks

is it not 25 items per minute with a average of 220 in a tray.....220~25=roughly 8/9 mins

Think it has to do with how many wings your frame has, but I could be completely wrong.

It's considerably less than 55.
And on an empty frame too.

25 a minute on an empty frame. no other test in the business at all.

Also if your frame has double slots then the agreed prep rate is void and you can tell them to poke their prep test.

I was told once by someone who's been on the job longer than i've been alive that at some time way back in the old days the test standard was just 9 letters per minute. Slightly hard to believe perhaps, but amazing if true as it shows how much more pressure there is on us now. Can anyone confirm?
