Pay Slip Breakdown?

Post by keeponkeepingon »

Hi,
Just wanted to know if anyone could explain how my pay is worked out?

Basic pay 24hrs 228.98

ICS Supplement 42.26

Delivery Supplement 13.30

POAL -7.27

Weekday Overtime @SSPR 0.5 8.38

What is the ICS Supplement? Delivery Supplement? I know what POAL is. Don't understand the overtime rate SSPR & does 0.5 = 1/2 or 50 mins?????????
Any help greatly appreciated.

Basic pay for a full-time 39 hours is £372.10 - you are doing 24 hours so your basic is just: (24 divided by 39) times £372.10 = £228.98

ICS supplement is an old bonus scheme that I didn't know anyone still got. For most people in Mail Centres, it got turned into an £8 per week supplement. I'm not sure what happened in DOs to the money from this scheme - looks like you're still getting something from it. Your £42.26 equates to a full-time person getting around £68.67 per week

Delivery supplement is paid to staff tagged to and working in delivery. It's £21.62 for a full-time person and £13.30 is the pro-rata amount for a 24 hour basic

POAL is purchase of annual leave. In your case it equates to roughly 3.2% of your pay which should mean that you're buying about 1 week and 3 days A/L (so going from 4 weeks 2.5 days up to 6 weeks perhaps)

The 0.50 hours overtime is, confusingly, 50 minutes. SSPR is single standard pay rate - it includes the pro-rata of the delivery supplement (i.e. 50 minutes worth in this case)

My ICS supplement is only £1.23 but I have got a PBS supplement of £11 as well.

Deliveries get in paid every month if they qualify - apparently its some sort of productivity bonus hangover from when we were an MLO - we get in Huddersfield along with a PBS of 5.20. Both per month rather than per week.

The delivery supplement actually replaces the old unit price payments for delivering door to door items since they were introduced into the workload in 2010 I think

I also thought that UPAP was the same as a defined area payment if you work in a difficult recruitment area aka a DRAS payment. not sure on that one though

What we need is a bonus system that reflects trafic flow ( inc D2D's ), with a bonus being paid if you shift above average levels for your MC/DO/DRIVING DISTRABUTION ROUTE

The UPAP (unconsolidated permanent addition to pay) payment we used to get got swept into basic pay as part of the Way Forward agreement. Not sure if other areas/functions kept their UPAP payments
