p.21 - To coincide with the introduction of the national agreement unit payments will cease and the 3 items per week cap will be removed. D2D Monies will be turned into a delivery supplement paid 52 weeks a year for all delivery employees (OPG and ORR) pro rata for part time employees.
p.60 - It will be paid 52 weeks a year at the rate of £20.60 per week, pro rata for part time employees and applies to new entrants.

Re: BT2010/Delivery supplement
Why is it pro-rata for part timers? It really pisses me off that I get less than my full-time colleagues, when I do exactly the same delivery (just less prep and no IPS)

Because its not a supplement for Delivering stuff, its a supplement for working in the Delivery Function. Thats why callers office, locker staff and DOM support get it even if they don't deliver anything.Lord Hereford wrote:Why is it pro-rata for part timers? It is pro-rata based on what your basic Delivery Supplement is, but its exactly the same rate per hour for both FT and PT. Also if you do overtime you get an extra amount above the basic hour rate (up to 39 hours) to account for the Delivery Supplement.
If this wasn't the case and we all got a flat rate Delivery Supplement PT would get a better hourly rate of pay than a FT would that be fair. Remember we don't get paid for D2Ds anymore - none of us do.
Not forgetting that your pay is also Pro-rata as well.

So if your 35 hours, and you regularly do overtime/cover another round as well as yours, does that mean you should get a bit more on top then? Because I never have.trueblueterrier wrote:It is pro-rata based on what your basic Delivery Supplement is, but its exactly the same rate per hour for both FT and PT. Yes you do but it is in the overtime rate and not in the delivery supplement.tommythreesheds wrote:

If you are on a 35 hour contract the first 4 hours of overtime will be at an enhanced rate to include the 52p/hour for the delivery supplement.

Re: BT2010/Delivery supplement
You do wonder why this supplement isn't pensionable (other than to save RM money, of course). Pushing for this to be consolidated into basic pay (and thus becoming pensionable) for delivery staff would seem reasonable to me

Some of it is - I get paid it in 2 parts - I presume 1 is for the Pensionable part.barrowc wrote:You do wonder why this supplement isn't pensionable (other than to save RM money, of course). Re: BT2010/Delivery supplement
I think that's reserved rights to the part which used to be an early shift payment. It would all be non-pensionable for anyone who started after BT2010 came in
edit: here's what BT2010 says about it:
edit: here's what BT2010 says about it:
Given the challenges the business is facing, the current Door to Door payment arrangements do not support the need to drive growth in this market and we have undertaken a fundamental review of this area. We have also reviewed arrangements for early shift payments in delivery. It has been agreed to cease and incorporate the total value of these payments (£52m Door to Door, and £40m delivery early shift allowance and grandfather rights) into a new permanent (non-pensionable) supplement to basic pay. This is payable to all delivery office employees directly tagged to and working in the delivery function. The supplement will increase in value as agreed in basic pay rises. It will flow through in 2011 and 2012. It will be paid 52 weeks a year at the rate of £20.60 per week, pro rata for part time employees and applies to new entrants.
Individuals in receipt of pensionable allowances incorporated into this payment will retain full pensionability of those elements on a reserved rights basis.
