How did they get my number

Really pissed off and mad, thing is 6 weeks ago I changed my mobile number and refused to give it to RM cos I don't want them phoning me, which they often did. Then this afternoon phone rings and who is it calling, a f***ing manager, when I asked him how he got my number he just blabbed about it being on my file, and I know for a fact that I never gave it them, only gave it to family and a few friends and none of them have anything to do with RM. So as anybody any idea how they got it please.

Assuming you didn't call them with it then it's kind of obvious that someone who knew it gave it to them.
You should be able to narrow it down a bit from there.

Do you post on facebook from it - if you haven't blocked the number its possible for it to show in someone elses friend list.

Social networking is really bad nowadays, no privacy. If you were on Whatsup on your old number using the same handset, it could be possible that Whatsup updated all your contacts to your new number. So even if you change your number a 100times without deleting your unwanted guest and uninstalling Whatsup, all your contacts will see your number.

Wife, she's well gone thank god, nobody who as my number as anything to do with my work and don't have a clue who the managers are. I don't go on facebook can't see the point of it. Nope I haven't rung them either. Think I'll ask rep to find out. Thanks anyway.

they had my car number plate on file.
id never filled out a form or anything so they could have it.

there could be some sort of government database they have access to...which has to be highly illegal imo
