The interview is what it says , to establish the facts behind the allegation ,this will decide if further action is needed.

It could be nothing or it could be really serious. He/she should at least talk to their rep to get the lay of the land. (They're also entitled to have a friend or rep attend the meeting with them.)

In my experience this means that they have already made up their minds that you have done something wrong and they want to take conduct code action against you. They have to go through a charade of apparently allowing you to answer a charge but unless its entirely untrue AND you can prove it with corroboration then you are guilty. Its not like a court room trial . They presume guilt and its up to you to prove yourself innocent.

Thanks for the replys - its now been sorted,basically my collegue was late on 2 seperate occassions and this was the reason behind the fact finding interview.

were they "very" late?
we have 9 different start times depending on day off, and my linos often say they haven't a clue half the time.
