anyone with any answers. rumors in our office today that overtime for going over on a monday or tuesday must now be booked on a wednesday. surely this can't be correct as this not showing a true reflection of hrs for the office. if the job is done right, coming in on time, taking breaks and using the correct tools then our office would struggle most days as the walks are far to big.

sounds like cooking the books to me. aslong as they pay the extended delivery overtime on the wednesday if you go over mon or tue happy days but if they play games or refuse to pay inform rep & simply dont work over again on mom or tue until you can book it on those days.

Still find some Managers talking about banking "Hours Owed" on Mondays & Tuesdays and saying, "You may have worked 2 hours Over on Wednesday...But you finished an hour early Monday & Tuesday...Therefore you shouldn't be getting paid any Overtime"!
I'm sure half the time it's not even intentional, they just don't even know what they're meant to be doing. Unfortunately there's a lot of Un-informed & Inexperienced Posties out there, that just keep accepting this bullshit.

Happend at our office (covering dom) waiting on Saturday when two vans came back early. Asked if they had done overtime
during the week "yes 45mins" was the reply. Dom gave them a choice stay until their finish time or no pay for the overtime, they went home and didn't get the money.

I've heard Managers before saying, "Well you'll have to work until your finishing time on Saturday then". Don't they realise they'll have to stay there to make sure they do? Plus it seems half the mangers treat every Saturdays Off as an entitlement.
