With Grangemouth caving in and accepting a 3 year pay freeze, a 3 year no-strike agreement, and "Yes you can mess with my pension" ... what's that going to do to our position, given what's on the table ?

I don't know why everybody keeps bringing Grangemouth up.
It isn't remotely like the position we're facing and even if it was that should make members more determined to get as strong a deal as possible to protect ourselves for as long as possible from exactly what is happening there.
As for what the public think...C'est la guerre.

So how do you get what the members want if Royal Mail aren't willing to give it. Shrugging your shoulders is a signal to RM that the Union is finished, and if they get that message the last 10 years are going to look like the halcyon days we think pre-sdd were.

What is this "support from the public" people talk of ? Is it, bringing us sausage rolls on the picket line, making generous donations to our non existant strike funds, honking their horns and waving when they pass us, or writing strongly worded e-mails to their MP's on our behalf ? Whatever it is, i never remember us having it in the past and really can't see what real benefit it would serve.

The only people we need support from is each other!
