sounds like his office will be flexing alot real soon!! that will be their thanks for getting done!

We've managed to get cars banned, we even have OPG tell us if someone uses a car, but it doesn't matter how hard we try, we can not get them to use trolleys, I'll admit the DOM is happy to allow them to carry bags, but we've tried really hard and TBH getting nowhere.

The sad fact is management know this is going on ,and they also know its quicker to use a bag so they say nothing UNTIL a postie falls,trips does his back in etc then the management mask will go on .Well you were told to use trolleys !!!,they wont back you up if you have broken h/s rules all I say is DO THE JOB CORRECTLY

We've had out revision and my partner uses a bag constantly.
Managers have spoken to him about it when they were out on checks and caught him yet he still does it.
They don't seem to care - probably because we get finished within our time every day.

Probably all away suffering crippling back pain from carrying overweight bags over all the years. These new measures are supposed to take the strain off your body and slow wear and tear that eventually leads to permanent injury.
But hey, its your body your destroying, if you don't think thats worth saving, your choice. On you go, but don't go running to the managers with a sob story and expect sympathy when you do cause yourself an injury.

I thought you could still use bags as long as you stuck to the correct weights?

Seems like some offices have ruled them out, from what iv'e been reading here..must be different rules for different offices.
And people should stick to the correct weights, but they never do, do they?
We've got people in our office carrying two bags on their backs to save them going back to their trolley...
