ukip..if only to get the political debate moving in this country..protest vote it may be,but to vote any of the big 3 would make me vomit..ukip make people have an opinion..thats a good enough start for me.

I have just cancelled my Labour membership and have now joined the Green Party.

I would vote SNP,the only serious political party that not only supports re-nationalisation, but is actually has working left of centre policies.
Sadly I don't live in Scotland, so that leaves me with 3 mainstream parties, all of whom were in favour of privatisation or Royal Mail.
UKIP are basically Maggie Thatcher's Tories but with less chance of being elected under our undemocratic first past the post system, so as ever I am left in the position of not voting FOR anyone but voting for the candidate I think has the best chance of defeating the sitting Tory MP, how is this in any way democracy?

I agree. Ed has had the chance to show that he is on the side of the working class and has failed on two accounts in the last couple of weeks.
1/ Refusing to carry out the wishes of the labour rank and file in not agreeing to renationalise Royal Mail.

2/ Promoting a new education minister who on question time supported the Torys on performance related pay for Teachers.
However can a head teacher maintain a fully committed staff, and how is he able to judge to what percentage of pay one teacher is worth more than another. A more divisive strategy could not have been thought up.

Voting for the best of a bad bunch seems pointless... you're giving the message, to which ever party you vote for, that their policies are actually worth voting for!

Labour seem more concerned that their Tory buddies sold Royal Mail too cheaply, than the fact that the British people have lost yet another asset to, most likely than not, foreign ownership.
Westminster is a cess pit. Corruption is the order of the day there, and you can bet your last quid, more than just a few MPs made a few bob buying up shares.
Will vote Green, SWP, but never that treacherous shower of shyte again.

The right wing is becoming amusingly splintered between the tories and UKIP, a division which will hurt them both and play into the hands of Labour. But you wonder what on earth has happened to the left. It seems there's a canyon-sized void in the political spectrum between the Greens and Labour, which no one is daring to fill. Labour has abandoned and betrayed us, the time when they can be trusted to represent workers is long gone. It's time to kickstart a new trades union movement for the 21st century, and fight the ideological evils of neoliberalism on all fronts. If the unions were to disband from Labour and form their own party for the working class i'd probably vote for them. Until that happens it's Greens all the way for me.

I'd welcome the time the trade unions formed their own political party and pulled the plug on labour support and funding. The labour left would move onboard the new party leaving the others to swim for it into the ConDems arms. I would vote Green if we had PR but we don't and a protest vote is a wasted vote when the ConDems are about. There still is just enough of a difference between ConDems and Labour for me not to want ConDems in again & I will vote for the lesser of 2 evils. Those at the top of the Labour party don't get my vote but my own Labour MP is deserving of it.

If Scotland votes for Independence, England will be under Tory rule forever. :dcfo
