royal mail apple discount

I have tried numerous times with different products to see if I can get an iPad mini from the apple store at the royal mail employee discounted offer without any joy.

I have followed the link that's in the courier. That takes you through to a page that says welcome to employee discount programme where you can click 'I accept' to continue.

I did this and it appeared I went to the normal apple store. I went along with it and put items in my basket but surprise surprise none of them discounted. There all at normal price. There's no option to put a code in and the next page is to put payment details in.

Either the discount doesn't work or the discount only applies to a very very limited amount of products, which is poor.

Any ideas???

you don't need to put in a code they are already discounted, some get no discount and some get vey little, shop around and you might get it cheaper, if you try the refurbished store then you might get a wedge off, as the name implies they are refurbs but they have a years warranty, i have used the refurb store and had no issues, hope that helps

keep your eyes open as there might be an announcement coming that a new version will be out this week, nothing confirmed as yet

If Apple put one of their logo's on a dog turd people would be rushing around trying to buy one SO why should Apple offer any discounts?

Apple products are fundamentally crap and only really appeal to wannabes. Example the budget Google Nexus 7 has a better screen than the any ipad yet Apple charge £100's more. It's not only the hardware buy a book via iTunes for your iPad and then try and read it on your iMac you can't Apple won't let you. By an ebook on Amazon and you can pretty much read it on any device going.

The long and short of it is that Apple sell hugely crippled products at hugely inflated prices because people are stupid enough to pay.

Do yourself a favour and save money buy a proper product

Had both nexus 7 and ipad mini and the nexus is a much better bit of kit.Much easier to "customize"

Why buy a book from iTunes, just do it through the kindle app/Amazon store and the book will go straight to both devices. I never liked Apple until I tried an iPhone - they're so user friendly so I also bought iPads and my 2 year old son has been using one since just after his 1st birthday.

mmm soooo tempting.. I'm in the market soon for a tablet, new nexus 7 well under £200quid now, i'd use it mostly for sitting on the sofa surfing, would 7" be ok or would 10" be better? (no inuendos intended )

no cheaper I just clicked the link an ipad 2 is 322.00 and argos is 329.00 with yrs guarantee so its a no brainer where u r going to get it from. 7quid come on :) it will soon be xmas

I wouldnt say Apple products are crap, however you are 100% correct that as soon as they put that little apple logo on it, it gives them the justification to charge about 50% more for the comparable tech from other companies because their fan base are so loyal. Apple must have the best marketing people around !

Or you could wait till black friday see what deals are on offer, got £80 off iPad 4 last year.
