Advice re-going sick this week

Hope this is the correct section...........

I was out today on my motorcycle with friends and one of the girls binned her bike,thankfully she's ok,but badly bruised.The lady in question is a postwomen and has been out on all the strikes.Her bike was unridable and she could'nt get on the back of my bike as it was too painful so came back in the recovery truck.

She needs to go sick now,so will RM accept her sick certificate for the strike days,she's off to see the doctor first thing in the morning.

she needs to call in NOW BEFORE 3am and leave a message if possible!!!

This will avoid hassle because if she calls in after 3am then they will put her down as IA with or without a sick note

This can be turned around with a grievance etc but to avoid the grief call now mate

Thanks for the advice,i've just got in from the pub and i have sent her a text,but my guess is seh's in bed nurseing her wounds

If shes come off her bike the last thing she should be doing is sitting around stagnant. Tell her to get up to the GP for a complete check over. I came off my vespa when some dick head pulled out in front of me, got home told the kids I was 'ard' went to the doc's the next day and he asked what hurt - I sounded like that song "head - shoulders- knees and toes" My whole body hurt, my head crashed into the back wheel, so my body took a big impact.

I got some good painkillers and had to make myself move about - because once you seize up its an up hill struggle to get back into shape.

I came off my Vespa on way into work one day, got taken to hospital by ambulance,broken knuckle & plenty of road rash, 3 hours later got picked up by RM van and taken back to work, no one to cover my duty

Were you not in a lot of pain K66la?

I dropped mine two years later because I thought I was gonna go into the back of a car. I was splattered in the middle of the main road, I refused help and hobbled to a quiet corner to lick my wounds.

Hubby insisted I went to hospital as my elbow kept clicking - I had broken it - I ended up with a buz light year arm which I was told could be perminent - I was pumping cans of beans on toast to straighten that arm I can tell ya!

Thankfully it was a low speed "off"she was on her old little 125 machine,but we had gone out the previous day and she had ordered a brand new machine.Chatting to her back at home i dont think the spill has put her off riding,nearly all bikers experienced or novice have a little spill at some time,its all part of the learning curve.She does admit she was to blame we were turning right out of a side turning on to the main A41 near Bicester,she came out to fast and clipped the kerb on the oppisite side of the road.Luckily enough and unusually,the road was as clear as a bell both ways.

I'll let her have a little bit of a lay-in,then i'll give her a ring to see if she ache's.
I think there could be a huge dent in her PRIDE though
