Whoever it is is full of sh*t, I've been using PDA's for over 2 years and they add a significant amount of time to each call.

Whoever it is is full of sh*t, I've been using PDA's for over 2 years and they add a significant amount of time to each call.

Really? ( not sarcastic genuine question) I've only just started using them for the last 2 weeks or so, and so I am by no means as qualified as you to assess there worth. But I am finding them much better, not scrabbling around in my pockets trying to find paperwork and pen. And to be honest all the inputting is done by the time a customer gets to the door. What don't I know yet? there is obviously issues....

Christ PDAs are piss easy. scan delivered and type the name after knocking the door, if they don`t answer click back and not delivered, what could be easier? piddling about with a bit of paper and peeling off the barcode is so out of date.

I got a brand new one today, fresh out the box.

Was very exciting opening it, as my old one had been dicking about for weeks, freezing, rarely connecting, blank screens etc.

The 'new' one is clearly a reconditioned one, and completely froze just trying to enter a name and PIN.

They are sh1te.

well that's what I thought, and as some people tend to be a little bit negative about change I thought it was just down to people being stuck in there ways,

once again I am only 2 weeks into using them so my opinion may well alter, but so far so good....

I find mine OK to use but still have to write loads of 739's all the time as most of the buggers I deliver to are out.

Quite frankly, PDA's do make the job easier.

But, when they go wrong, they go wrong.
I spent 20 minutes the other day trying to persuade it to send off the jobs info.
