Revision signed off today... With a twist?

Our office 2010 revision was signed off today, believe it or not only 2 walks have been classed as complete...
£800 will be paid within the next 4/6 weeks.
Managers/planners will be back in the new year to try and sort out the remaining 130+ walks

They only need to have 1 walk done to get top bosses off their backs as that's counted as revision completed. Our manager put rurals in first as not one changed a single bit and this was classed as revision done. Gave boss breathing space before the disaster of CDV's came in. Clever tactic really.

Unfortunately for our office there's problems with car parking space! We need approx about another 45 vans and we only have 25 spare spaces.....

Car Parking is the least of your problems. A lot of Posties are basically spoilt by being able to park in their Office yard. Weymouth only use to have 4 Official Parking spaces within the yard! All the vans (40+) were parked in nearby council carparks and the posties often had a mile walk in from where they'd parked their cars.

Carparking is therefore not likely to be a major consideration.

Our office is situated on large industrial estate, all the roads on this estate are double yellowed, the housing estate/area after this is all permit parking only.. Our office was due to be complete nearly 3 years ago at the same time as our sister office north of the city. Like I said earlier our office has just been signed off without no answer or confirmation over the parking issue for the vans/postie's and more importantly anywhere for the public to park while picking up n/l items...

why cant you lot just takes vans home? You get free travel, the boss gets less parking spaces taken up by cars.

Ivan, when you get to work pull your van out of the yard and park it on the double yellows outside. Then park your car in your van's parking space. Royal Mail vehicles are allowed to park on double yellows, whereas your car isn't! Just a thought.

Only if they are carrying out duties commensurate with the USO, such as collecting or delivering - not sure loading up before delivering and being done en-mass would qualify - it would probably have to be tested.

Boys, spoke to traffic warden a couple of days ago, I asked now we have been privatised are we still allowed to park on double yellows, he said " they are waiting confirmation off their bosses to when they can start booking RM vehicles"..
Not sure about around the rest of the UK, but they seem right up for it down my neck of the woods

But me and my 100+ chums at work don't give a flying f**k if the managers/planners/revision specialist hit squad, can't solve the puzzle of 45 red blocks don't fit into 25 white spaces
