If I remember they is no timescale on a rtw-but if it triggers a stage interview be sure to have it back dated to the date you returned

Back to work interviews should happen on the day you return from sick.

Should be done first day back, if you go on a stage or review as they now call it it would help you as they havnt followed procedure

they probably have, just make sure you dont so that in the event of a stage warning which includes this absence use it as evidence that they have not followed the correct proceduresSherpas Rule wrote:Thanks for the replies, hopefully they just forget about it, not unheard off in my office!

Re: Time limit on Return To Work Interviews?
ask for a copy of all relevant paperwork prior to your interview under the attendance procedure and let them see it through to the end i.e. hand over the paperwork with their decision. Once your manager has issued you with the warning point out to them that they haven't worked to the national guidelines/agreements. Once they presumably do eff all, take out a grievance against the manager did the attendance interview for not working to national agreements.
Whilst we cant appeal the decision, we can take out a grievance for not complying with national agreements. And to rub salt into the wounds your informal attempt to resolve it with the manager will have covered off stage one of the grievance proceedure

Confused... You won't be, after the next episode of. SOAP

Re: Time limit on Return To Work Interviews?
As per the new attendance procedure, the first informal return to work interview MUST be done within 2 hours of returning to work.
You do not need to be represented for the first RTW.

My copy doesn't say that.pod25 wrote:As per the new attendance procedure, the first informal return to work interview MUST be done within 2 hours of returning to work.
Mine says...
When should a welcome back meeting take place?
Following any period of absence, a welcome back meeting will be held between the employee and their manager.
The discussion should always take place during the employee’s first day back and where possible should be held within three hours of the start of their shift.
It is very important that this discussion takes place and that both the manager and employee discuss the absence and the employee’s overall wellbeing.

I was pretty sure it was 2 hours, but could well have been 3 hours, I've not had to read it for a while.
