Transfers

I think this is the right place for this as I work in a royal mail delivery office

At the moment ive been trying to get any information on getting on the the transfer list as soon as possible, ive tried phoning 'HR' but the only way I seem to be able to get onto anything about jobs, its going thru as if I don't already work for royal mail, and ive yet to actually be able to speak to someone in 'HR' the same problem that our PHG is having as well, if anyone could provide any information as to how to chat to a person rather than using the automated and confusing system it would be greatly appreciated,

Also ive been trying to go thru my delivery office manager and he doesn't know how to get me on to a transfer list, ive been asking for over 2 months now and im yet to make any grounds further than asking have you looked into it yet, he has recently said however that he has never had to do a transfer going out of an office before and he doesn't know what to do, which given the time is frustrating to say the least, he has however now said that he would talk to his boss and find out some information for me but again is yet to actually do it so im still left in the dark about what to do.

However, I have been in touch with another Delivery office manager, when I applied for a job / transfer thru the royal mail website for his office to see if I could get anywhere that way, as it stands the job was filled by a postperson on the transfer list which only reinforces the need to get on the list as soon as possible, the manager himself has said the way in which royal mail staff (as he is aware of) has changed recently and he's not quite sure how to do it himself anymore.

My reason for transfer is that im due to get married in just over a year and my other half has already made the move to Derbyshire so its now over a 250 mile trip each way, so there is an urgency to get there as fast as possible, but every way I turn seems to be a dead end. Any information would be greatly received.

My final issue regarding a transfer is again with my manager himself as we have recently had a falling out this week to which hes said something out of order and not true, im currently on a 29 hour contract and i used to be on a 24 hour one, however ive always worked on overtime, some weeks pulling in a total of over 60 hours a week, with almost every week between 35 and 45 hours a week. I work my days of and have only since starting 3 years ago turned over time down once (which was this week - and what the falling out was over) he has since said that when he goes about doing a transfer request for me that, and hes words "I would have to tell other delivery office managers that you wont do overtime", this to me would be a negative thing for me and given my record for overtime is completely untrue, if he was to go ahead and do this, would it have a negative effect on a transfer request and also is there anyway to find out if he did it (i.e. see what hes written about me on a request) again, any information would be greatly appreciated.
