Imminent Revision, Is Seniority the defining factor

Entering the final stages of our Revision and a total re-sign is on the board. Smallish office with 25 walks, Full time and Part time ratio is @ 70%/30% in Full timers favour.
Question I have is does the repick solely revolve around Seniority. Reason I ask is I've seen members describing a scenario where they have Full time walks and Part time walks and two separate repicks.
I can't see what would constitute a part time walk as part of the revisions. Is there anything in the way forward agreement with any concrete guidelines regarding this

there should be no difference in the outdoor element of every duty so as such there should be no "full time" walks or "part time" walks, depending on how things go there could be factors that affect this, ie if a pt and ft are paired up, then the start time of the pt may need to be changed to coincide with the finish time of the ft, a way round doing that and pissing off all the pt staff with a potentially much later start time is to agree that pt will pair up and keep current start time, this is what we do and it works well, where there is a mis match on finish times it can cause problems, either the ft has to stop where he is to run the pt back or the pt needs to get a lift back somehow,

the one main issue you may have with seniority is non drivers, ie a person of a higher seniority bumped from being the passenger in one of the vans due to an excess of lower seniority non drivers

also amended duties under the equalities act may affect who can pick what walk

basically seniority should hold where possible but its a balancing act to try and keep people happy and do things properly

The revision is devised on the number of hours your office requires to function. A part time duty wouldn't do IPS, start later and either prep and deliver or just deliver with a minimum of indoor work depending on whether it was park and loop or a singleton duty. Seniority doesn't always hold the field nowadays.

It depends whether you are having p&l. If so, then being able to drive gives you more of an advantage, than seniority.

One bit of advice,if you are a driver pick a driving duty.I am a driver and picked a passenger duty and am moved at the last minute every week when they realise they have two non drivers on a park and loop duty!
