the government stated today that the maximum any person would get in shares would be £750 ( except RM employees who could still get up to their £10,000 original limit )

in doing this, they have stopped our gracious leader from getting her hands on many thousands of shares in the company which I imagine she would try and get, so for that reason I thank them

It will be interesting to see if she buys shares at £4 and above because one thing is she is very clever and I don't think she likes to waste her money.

I wish that we're true. As from today, if you've got the wonger you can buy as many shares as you can get your hands on.

she'll get shares as part of any future pay rises. They all do, cameron and ossie and clegg will all do well out of this financially.
Perhaps this is the only course of action we have as a country and that is to scrutinise their finances for the rest of their miserable lives.

Indeed initially nobody will have overall control, over time the big companies will acquire the remaining shares by buying out the smaller holders, as it while the Government hold 49% nobody will be in over all control, we don't know what the future hold, but I hope it doesn't go the same way as it did with Royal Netherland Post, as the staff have 10 % share holding (for now) the Dutch experience made sobering reading the RNP was partly sold off, then the Dutch Government sold the rest of their holding, the company then changed hands several times with several name changes losing the "Royal" title and the USO eventually becoming PostNL, Belgium have sold off La Poste.

Based on what I have read I can assume that major changes may well come in 6 years time after the general election and the sell of the remaining Royal Mail shares in 2015/16 also assuming other carriers do their own deliveries, packets is already a free for all anyway, so we can see some differences around then.
