30 hour contract. How much will I get paid?

Just starting at Royal Mail. Will take any overtime given. How much am I likely to take home?

you will find out today as you will receive your first pay slip with a basic 1 weeks wages ( if you started this week of course )

ok, well in 6 - 8 weeks you will get your first pay packet ( yes it does take that long for RM to do their checks etc, stupid I know )

your basic take home at first will be around £240 a week, you will then get a slight pay rise at 6 months and 12 months ( where your take home will be around £275 )

the above are just educated guesses based on my take home but should be around those figures

After you've done 12 months you will pick up £245-250 for 30 hours

Thanks a lot for tht mate! Didnt like to ask at the interview. That's pretty decent. Is that with or without overtime?

depends on how long the background checks take - 4 weeks is not unheard of.

I get £240 take home and only been doing job 5 months,i haven't even had my first payrise yet.

4 years in and the 2 rises, minus poal,i picked up £246 for 30 and half hours
