I've been waiting a good 6 weeks plus now for some new size 11 RM boots/or trainers, along with trousers/t-shirt etc that were part of the order...

The only response I keep getting from management every time I ask (which has been numerous times :arrrghhh ), is to wait another week as they must be out of stock, but even if they were out of stock does it seriously take this long to sort out!? I even tried re-ordering the uniform last week only to receive an email saying that the request had been rejected, possibly due to it clashing with my previous order. I don't see why I haven't received my trousers/shirt though unless they send the orders together.

My current footwear is on the verge of death, seriously falling apart....management keep banging on about tough weather conditions ahead so they expect everybody to be in safe RM footwear and all that crap....however it's getting to the point where I am going to have no other choice than to wear my own personal boots (which I shouldn't have to) or walk bloody barefoot!

Have you phoned the uniform helpline on the back of your payslip and asked why?

Twice yes and they have been no help whatsoever, basically saying the same as management (give it time, give it another week etc). I really shouldn't have to keep chasing up such a basic thing, the other things can wait its the footwear which is urgent. The H&S officer is aware anyway so that if any incident occurs regarding my lousy footwear (slipping over etc) he knows about it. In the past I've had no issues whatsoever so this scenario is just weird.

have been waiting for my replacement trainers for weeks too.I was told last week by the lino that my particular size are out of stock.my current pair are so worn out that the heels are no more and i certainly am not wearing my own footwear.

Mine are still on mass order by the boss,he ordered a pair for most of the office 4 weeks ago.
I put my own order in and got some in 4 days.
In the comments box to be seen by the manager , write " urgent , too worn to meet h&s req." and they will instantly be authorised.
I must order some more now as the yellow bits wear out within a month.
Why are lino's paid full-time ??

It's good to get these types of threads, the ridiculous my manager said bollox, so we can reassure ourselves that while the world is falling apart, Royal Mail managers are still being the low-life C***S they have always been.

I ordered a pair of shorts this week ( yes shorts....) :left: and guess what.....

Out of stock!
