Tracked. 'We have a record of ...'

I checked a 'Tracked No Signature' item on the Royal Mail website and got the message "We have a record of FJ---------GB being delivered from ---------- DO on 2013-10-05" :shock:
but why the rather vague 'We have a record of ... being delivered' rather than a proper confirmation of delivery ? :crazy:

Either it's been delivered or it hasn't been delivered, and no time is given. :sad:
Why not "We can confirm that item FJ---------GB was delivered from ---------- DO on 2013-10-05 at --.--am"? :Very Happy

PDA break down or the postie didn't have one - so they used a paper confirmation and it was scanned in the locker. If so then a POD should be available soon.
