Hi all,
Been a postie since feb 13, had my 3rd 3 month contract re-newed and is not up untill november but received another contract which states from 1/12/13 - 31/01/14?
Everything is positive at work but Im slightly worried about being give a reduced 8 week instead of 12!
I even have my own round after 8 months!
Really concerned that after xmas, thats it... Especially with whats happening with the privatisation!

It's likely because you are going onto permanent contract from Feb 1st

You used to have to be offered a fixed contract after 12 months, but i think it's after 2 yrs now.

I was renewing fixed term contracts for 2 1/2 years was told I was getting a permanent contract and got one saying long term so apart from not signing a new contract every few months I'm no better off. They can still get rid of you if they want to. If you're a duty holder you're probably as safe as anyone.
