Looks like 5 voted NO

lets hope its like 90% plus in the ACTUAL ballot, we need a stronger hand in the negotiations, at the moment its all posturing by both side to testing each others strengths before committing to anything.

why anyone would vote no is beyond me,even if you didnt want to strike surely you have to vote yes to strengthen the unions position and after that you can do as you please.

Well seen as the ballot paper only has 2 choices, yes or no!, the other choices here are irrelevent.
I voted yes by the way, even though i have reservations about striking.

So you vote 'yes' and then when the CWU calls us out on the basis of a decisive 'yes' vote you "do as you please".

The facts are that genuine feelings come into play when putting the cross in the box. When it comes to striking, finances, family commitments, family pressure are the deciding factors.

Totally agree and everyone position and beliefs are different.

The fact is, if I vote NO, then RM will screw me.
if I vote YES, then the CWU will screw me with a deal for more D2D's, no driving allowance and increased workload ect.

I can't win......so why vote...I lose either way.

If you vote no and this is a majority vote, then basically any form of collective bargaining within Royal Mail will be gone forever. Royal Mail will deem this as a mandate to ostracise CWU from our workplace, and an easy route to diminish earnings, reduce benefits, partition sections of the business for further privatisation, franchise elements of the business, introduce lower paid second tier workforce, increased zero hour contracts, and worst still increase pressures on workloads which in turn will increase the bullying and harassment. If you see a no vote or a yes vote as the same evils and fail to vote, I hope for your sake and that of all our colleagues that a resounding yes vote is the result, because the future without it will be unimaginable compared to the present.

Its interesting to see this poll. However I would think the percentage of NO would be higher in reality as most people on here would be more militant and likely to vote YES. If its only about 85% on here that's yes (at time of posting) then it may only be about 70% nationally. Just my opinion, but we see if I am right
