Buying holidays

Hi all..Been with company over 8 years but never bought holidays. Now thinking about it tho.My winter week is October and next years summer holidays is end August..Now thats nearly a year without a holiday inbetween!. So...Am i right in thinking its something like £7 a week off your wages if you buy a week ? And if so is that for a year?...Also does my manager allocate the week ?.many thanks.

You can buy leave up to 6 weeks, i.e. if you have 4 weeks and 3 days, you can buy the other week and two days to make it up to a maximum of 6 weeks.

You have to pay the year round, and I think it goes in the financial year April 1st to March 31st.

You pick when you want to take the leave, as you would your other leave in whatever format is agreed.

Don't know about costs though, but HR will be able to tell you.

I pay £7.00 per week for 28 hours contract and the money is taken before tax so well worth it

you will have to wait until next year think feb to fill in form then it starts from april 1st
