7 D2D's a week

This is getting ridiculous, I don't mind doing the D2D's because I only work to my time and if I go over I cut off but how are we expected to throw mail off into frames with 7 D2D's or 14 D2D's in double slots with magazines brochures etc and expect us to throw off the walk sorted the same speed.
Also the amount of parcels on the top shelf are stacked so high all they do is end up falling on the floor .
What planet are they on

regularly get 6 d2ds per week .... if they go down the route of 7 I will be cutting off nearly every day and they can stick their o/t

Don't put D2D in the frame, especially double slot frames. 14 D2D's plus mail in one slot is obviously way beyond the realms of common sense.

Once were privatised how many do you think it will go up to, 8,9, 10 or more. Mark my words d2ds will go through the roof.

7 d2ds this week it took 40 mins to open boxes, cut bands, flatten cardboard and put in York, set out on frame then throw them out, But there is no extra time in duty builder. I did complete Monday, just. But this just adds more chance of cutting off, o well.

How do they decided what walks get what D2D's, is it RM or the company advertising? In the last month I've had one week where I had one D2D and nothing for the last 3 weeks!? But I've seen other walks in my office with like 8 D2D boxes stacked high!?

Seems to depend on the potential profitability of an area. Wealthy areas get hammered because that's where the money is and less affluent areas within the same postcode will get bugger all.

Whilst on the subject of D2D I'd like to thank the ass who accepts these contracts for giving me 9 boxes of a certain charity's advertising which contained a wad of xmas cards and a pen. Perhaps you would like to deliver all that c**p along with the normal post to see if you think that it's a good idea to take on such bulky items?

AFAIK the DOM's aren't allowed to return any d2ds now (there's a thread about it here somewhere) and with d2d being live mail that's probably the only way they can get rid of them
