after 13 years I was given ihr from royal mail..in my new job I meet a lot of people daily these include posties..when i ask them how is it there now its quite sad how many posties say how bad it is...how could a job go from being one of the best jobs to this in just a few years....anyway good luck to you all and don"t let the buggers get you down...

I dunno how anyone even feels like a postie anymore with van sharing or park & loop whatever you wanna call it, complete different way of working.

People are dropping like flies in my place with suspensions due to cut offs as we have only gone live in the last few months.

Worst job ,and that is solely because there is no unity in the workplace .If we had a union rep who would have union meetings maybe once a month and pass on whats going on ,any concerns in the workplace ,any agreements with management passed onto workforce instead in our place agreements are made ,no union meetings NOTHING and everybody just looks after themselves .As the management say DIVIDE AND CONQUER and that in a nutshell is what has happened

My friend we talk to each other ,but everybody just looks after themselves .Ive been in PO for a very long time and yrs ago if one of us was being bullyied by management the workforce stood together .Now there is no unity in the workplace ,posties who have more faces than a clock eg mon -fri talking about posties running round deliverys,coming in early etc,then on sat do exactly the same thing .

I do agree with you WHITEANT that years ago we all would sort things out together and I suppose things have changed. Friend I think that is why I left delivery but still miss those early turns and talking to customers too.

If only boys would wise up ,the PO tell you how things are done eg ,don't read your mail while walking,dont cut across gardens,jump fences ,runround ,leave your van unattended, put seat belt on at ALL TIMES we know the score .Yet boys break all the rules just to finish a wee bit earlier BUT TO GET MORE LAPSING PUT ONTO THEM so to make them go even faster Then they start crying about the duties. Management must have a good giggle amongst themselves at these idiots not only are they destroying the duties but jobs .

I must admit I have also found this to be the case. Everyone out for themselves, nobody cares and don't get me started on two faced s**t stirrers. I've learnt you really have to keep yourself to yourself and be careful what you say to anybody.

As I said before DIVIDE AND CONQUER its true and that's what management are good at ,everybody is trying to sink each other, little deals all over the office .The workforce should be looking after each other as the fight is not with each other but with bullying management
