Hi there I'm on a 40 hour contract and would like to know how much notice do the managers have to give me for my day off every week? As know when I look at the router for every week it says I either don't have a day off n working 6 days or they ( the managers) only put the router up on Friday, sometimes Saturday and I don't feel this is right. Also can some body tell me why my days off always end up being Mondays or Tuesdays no matter what duty I'm on! In 2 years I've only had 1 Saturday off ( which I asked for) and only had a Wednesday off once, that it. Don't find this fair as always working heavy days. Can somebody in lighten me please? Thanks kris.

Find out what the duty day off is. That's your day off. You have either been an unlucky reserve or a line manager has shafted you.

Contact your rep.

I think, but don't quote me, that the duties should be at least two weeks in advance, but they do throw up 'operational difficulties' as an excuse to change them at every whip stitch. You are, however, only required to do a five day week (unless you have the one week off in six, 'Hereford' system).

Didn't know this was an English lesson, just wanted some heads up not a load of bullshit off some sad little dicks! Go work for the shitty post office for 40 years f***ing sad pr**s!
