Ringing you and texting you during the week whilst on holiday asking if you can work on certain days during your time off.
Can they do this and secondly I didn't know you could work when you was off anyway

Our office for years have had people come in while on A/L and it's paid as overtime,iv'e done it a few times but won't anymore :Very Happy

O/T on A/L - Seen it happen loads of times.

Personally I'd rather be short of cash than help them out of the s**t they got themselves into. I value my time away from the place!

I know of one guy who was pestered by his line manager while he was actually at his fathers funeral (on compassionate leave).

Loads at our place get paid for working annual leave week. It happens all over the country.

If my boss rung me whilst on A/L I'd file a complaint.
I'm on a weeks break from work, not interested in being contacted by them.
Sometimes, I wish I wasn't a Rep.

I was told if you worked your annual leave and if anything went wrong you weren't insured to drive RM vehicles and the company would not defend you in any sort of claim for damage whilst on delivery?

Not true, your covered by RM's employee liability insurance at all times whilst working for them, whether or not its your day off or on annual leave

Not true. You cannot work OT or any other hours whilst on leave. You would have to give up the leave and have it later.
