LATER STARTS - Help me please Union Rep

if the dispute is unresolved come wednesday, am i entitled to go into work at my normal time of 5am? or do i have to go in at 6.15?

you should contact your unit rep or area rep for local advice.
Nationally the Outdoor Dept has advised that you should report at the time instructed by your DOM.

hmm that is dodgy. once ive reported at new time it looks as if ive given in to it.

well why dont you come in your old time and either work for nothing or be classed as taking unofficial industrial action and i cant see you doing neither as you seem to have a problem with taking official industrial action and as you worked on strike days previously you seem to need the money

We where told yesterday by our Area Rep,
That by law if you have a child under the age of 6, they have too bee child friendly towards you
So if you all have children under the age of six, tell your DUM that you need to get home for your old time and he HAS too help you out. BY LAW

I've been told to start an hour later from next week but there was no mention of my finish time.
Perhaps I should finish as normal, and the daily increasing heap of mail not delivered might give them the message I'm not happy about changes being imposed without agreement.

Management Executive Action on Later Start Times in Delivery Offices



Our members will be aware that, subject to a significant breakthrough taking place in negotiations, that management will be imposing later start times in Delivery Offices with effect from 8th October.



As things stand, we will be having national Industrial Action on 8th and 9th October but a number of Branches have sought guidance as to what our members should do when returning to work on Wednesday, 10th October. Some have suggested that delivery staff should be advised to turn up at their current duty times and finish their duties in line with present arrangements. The difficulty with this, apart from the fact that it would be deemed Unofficial Industrial Action and therefore likely to bring into question the legality of our National Ballot, is that it would almost certainly mean that if allowed to access DOs and commence work, Royal Mail will not pay for that period.
