Get the "no overtime to be booked" speech this morning? We have been told that from next week no overtime will be paid, you are required to work your full hours, no one to start before there time, no one to leave office before 10 am, full time duties covered by a part timer will only be covered on part time hours, if anyone goes sick the duty is absorbed or left in the frame for the next day. If you can't complete in your time then it will be there next day etc or was it just our office?

So Seamor, are they suggesting that by leaving the mail in for the following day if you are unable to complete, that the rules for overrunning deliveries are cast aside in favour of taking everything out and bringing back what you cannot do, and no claim for wilful delay will be lodged against you? Or latest cost cutting (bonus boosting) measure by management. Or both.

It's wrong, all mail should go. But, do as instructed, follow cutting off procedures, don't start or finish early. Go home on time.
It'll all change when the mail is stacked through the roof.
At which point you should all refuse OT.

Managers encouraging USO failures, I wonder if they would be reported to the area manager or just covered up? I would email Moya and see what she thinks of a blatant disregard for the USO.

See if they follow it through and if so, put your local newspaper on the scent - anonymously of course - and casually mention the infringement of our USO obligation especially in the light of impending privatisation. North Yorkshire area. I was wondering if this was a nationwide thing because of privatisation or office victimisation from the area manager because we put in a disagreement about the revision.

We got the same information this morning, though no actual speech, and no one was discouraged from coming in early and working for free! General feeling is that they are trying to stop us from using overtime to build up a financial buffer to strikes. We were told this was national?? West yorkshire.

Started this in our DO a few weeks ago.

Now it's started getting busier we failed on almost everything this week.

Several walks left in and only stamped first class taken out by managers one day then managers doing full walks on other days.

Mail left unsorted nearly every day (Full yorkie).

Packets sorted but not delivered for over a week.

Managers prepping walks.

Specials not going out.
