Our last 4 reps have looked after themselves, been given good duties, saturdays off, etc etc and we`ve all been smashed with lapsing, and other ludicrous things. Not saying the cwu is corrupt, but some reps are deffo out for themselves.

So now Royal Mail sit back and larf as we divide and they conquer....? I don't f¥cling think so...this is when WE ALL even the few fair weather reps who seek the role for selfish purposes, STAND UNITED...if we don't we will all be screwed! Get it?

If we win this, and with the CWU as it stands, it's a big 'IF', it will be the first dispute we'd have won this century.
You can't blame people for having no confidence in the CWU.
However, I will take strike action. I will do so in solidarity with my office rep, who is a good man with the best intentions of the membership in our office at heart.
But, I do so in the knowledge that it will in all probability be for nought, and will walk back into a job even worse than before, just like the last time. And the time before that. And the time before that. And.....Etc, etc, etc.

I wouldn't blame CWU because summer is quiet for mail, its only effective (in the right way) once summer is finished. The union now should be focusing on getting public support by producing facts and figures and why we its essential for strike action. Hopefully we all vote for strike action (apart from the twat on other post).

The Tory led coalition are licking their lips now at the prospect of an easy three billion for the treasury coffers and don't give a toss about the universal service, the workforce, CWU or long term future of the business.

Lets get the em out on strike and show the last bastions of trade unionism how private enterprise deals with strikers.
We sack em and only allow them to return upon signing a new contract with reduced terms and conditions and minimum wage.

the future for royal mail workers will be minimum wage zero hour contracts to be competative
and to be competative under a private company they would pay employees same as thier competitors
its gonna happen what ever we do
strike or not to strike
although i would say vote yes to industrial action
get on picket line and go on the marches
and then and only then will we have a slight chance of fighting this and getting a better deal
like same T and C for ten years
