My contract and sick leave

I have been a postman (OPG) for thirteen years, after a change of duties I find myself walking twice as far as I had for the past ten years. at the start of these changes I ordered new trainers (with about two weeks wear left in them) it was six weeks before replacements arrived.

I have since been suffering from plantar fasciitis and have been signed off for a further two weeks 'not fit for work' on the letter from my doctor.

As part of my duties I perform office administration one week in five. I have submitted my sick/fitnote and have been asked to attend admin next week while signed off.

I have an atos report stating return to work plan to be agreed at a later date, am attending physiotherapy and am in constant contact with my office via email and phone.

My DOM phoned me today with the request saying that our area manager told him to suspend my contractual sick pay if I did not agree.

I cannot find my original contract of employment and have not received an amended one in the period that I have been employed.

My question is, where can I obtain a copy of my contract and can I return to work while signed off. Although admin work is within my capabilities I feel pressured into a return before my G.P. and ATOS agree.

Problem is a fit note is no longer a sick note as it lists the the task you either can or can't carry out. Depending what the doctor has put on the fit note you may be considered fit to work in an Admin role.

Management will do what they like,their excuse is that ATOS reports give advice but they are not mandated to follow it !!!

I know it costs money but put a claim in against royalmail for your injuries sustained by not having suitable footware and that you asked for the PPE in good time.
