so ive played football today and took a nasty knock to my ankle, hurts to walk on abit took the support off and hurts more now, im back in work tomorrow. whats the chances i can phone up in morning about light duties?

It isn't a good idea to return on light duties without a structured plan - and that involves ATOS.
Depending on how bad the injury is, it might be a good idea to let a medically trained person (i.e not your DOM) have a look before making any decisions.
Did the other bloke get a yellow card?

Hi,

ring in sick & see the Doc ASAP. with a good sick record you should be OK.

Any amount of walking is going to make it worse and stretch out the healing process, before you know it you have 2 sick absenses.

AOD or on the pitch will make no difference to your Dim

What they will say is, come in, then try and cajole you into going out, no need for medical attention, they already know what the doc will say, seen it all before. if youre not up to it, go see your doc, get a sick/fit note from him, FTM.

ive took the advise on board. just i dont think i can call in sick cuz he will say come in anyway? wha could i say to dom if i rang in sick? my record is clear
