Ok we've been struggling to complete our collections on our SA's on time in recent weeks mainly due to the amount of crap left to clear from during the day. Also the collections have been made stupidly long and it's really difficult to complete these within our given time and RM are refusing to pay any extra if we go over our time. I and many others are sick of it now. So the question is :

What is the procedure for cutting of a collection? Unfortunately it's not quite as simple as not doing SA's anymore but that's another issue I shall write about at another time.

Hi. If you cut off a collection run and fail to collect from a box for example this is a U.S.O failure which more than likely will lead to a Conduct Code response initiated by a Mail Centre Manager.
Have you had a collection best practise revision yet ?
If not you can still query the feasibility of the collection routes from a health and safety point i.e speed limits, parking points, traffic volume at 5pm etc.
Also it is important to note that you have signed to do a collection SA not delivery cut off overtime.
If one is impacting on the other you need to complete the SA you have signed for in order to avoid a Conduct Code problem.
It is upto your Dom and the Mail Centre Manager responsible for collections in your area to deal with resourcing issues.

Im still trying to figure out how our evening PHG person - who's supposed to sweep up/sort out any missed collection/broken down vehicles..collect drivers etc...gets away with NOT being able to drive.
This means any slight problems would be a Fail I believe.
