uncomfortable cat trainers

i find them too rigid and stiff, they slow me down and after too long my lower back hurts.

when i run, i run in barefoot style shoes.

are we allowed to wear our own shoes to work?

if so, anyone got any recommendations?

I don't really want to spend my own money on work-wear but these trainers are doing my head in!

i don't run at work, i run outside of work and when i do this i wear barefoot-style shoes.

The cat shoes rubbed my feet to pieces, I stick to the magnam shoes.

Several other people in my office had the same problem with the cats, some love them.

I use orthotics in my Cat trainers, way more comfy.

i cant wear them as i have flat feet and heel spurs and they make my feet sore too.

The YDS we were trialling 6 months ago are much better than the Cats,surely they must be replacing Cats with them by now?Only now are the soles starting to wear out and i walk on alot of gravel paths/drives

you paid £112 for these to wear to work you must be on good overtime. our dom wont let us wear our own boots as he says we are not covered if we slip and try to claim he checks every month.

The YDS and Hermes trials have finished and have both been rejected by the postmen who wore them in the trial office including ours. Royal mail have gone back to using Cat trainers.
Now I don't know about anyone else who has trialled either of these boots but I can't quite believe they were rejected. I was given a pair of the YDS trainers and they are exactly what I wanted. They are waterproof, comfortable and durable (still going strong after a few months).
I go through about 3 pairs of Cats a year and they are dangerous! You slide about at the merest hint of a slippery surface because of the terrible sole grip.They are also not waterproof.
They are 100% not fit for purpose and the YDS trainers are excellent and have been rejected!!!! (apparently).

I can beat that,on average they last a month,1 pair only lasted 3 weeks.

I paid £42 and I could'nt really afford that but for the sake of my ankle and feet it was worth it.
