Not sure if anyone has read the Rm proposals on D2D,only the plans are for the phasing in of D2D into ordinary deliveries as the mail volumes drop !! Drop thats a laugh .Personnaly I think there mad tampering with this part of revenue for RM (as its the only real massive income generator they have ) because you and I know they just won't get done without a payment and policing it will be a nightmare ....leighton just doesn't get it does he ...you give a little you take a little ..job done ...I see hes trying to get everyone now to work there time ...bring it on bud ,as we all know just like dustmen take away any incentive like a finish early and the overtime is there for tomorrow ( oh and your bins are not emptied on the day they said they would ). Its tantermount to clocking in and out ...Fine ..thats ok ...only the 2 numpties will realise half as much work is done ....and in 6 months we get the tears from Mr no Bullshit wondering why oh why we don't behave like soft touch 16 year old checkout assistants at Asda hes used to bullying, and where he earned a reputation for being the hard man of business, that coming from a man who does a 2 day week is on 1'2 million a year ( me and he says i'm over paid and underworked ) and wears a pink shirt in a come and adore me pose .( ref sky news interview )...Crozier ...oh yes the supposed brains behind the fiasco ....mmmh flash suit ...only where is he ....last I heard was on holiday ......but hey talk to anyone in the FA and his triue colours are revealed ....they are both all suit ,tie and chancers ,stacking all on this being a success for them as there reputations are on the line and the city is watching ... RmM is an institution ,owned by the people , for the people and lets not forget that ...a great institution and not as Leighton says been around 200 years ,more like 350 years...so much for knowing your product , and if RM was a BATH ..they are 2 nasties floating in it, you know what I mean ...Keep the faith ,i'm proud of all those who make sacrifices to uphold what they believe in ...

i spoke to our area rep on the picket line this morning and he said he received a txt last night that there is little or no progress on the talks. they're refusing to budge on pensions, flexibility and d2d payments. he reckons it really does look like fight to the death. i hope we are all up for it

DOOR TO DOOR PAYMENTS HAVE HARDLY INCREASED IN YEARS.

Post by jinglejangle »

Wasnt the last rise for standard D2Ds from 1.67p to 1.75p.Sure RM has risen their cost to businesses a much greater % rise than that.

Would love to remember what we were getting 10 years ago but memory failing me.

Agree wholeheartedly.Door to door are a massive revenue earner for RM.We kill ourselvers doing them.Certainly worth more than the 20odd quid a week.Especially all the grief you get delivering them with dxxxx ripping them up in front of you, even before youve walked off.

FIGHT TO THE END EVERYONE.NO RETREAT NO SURRENDER.

They were 1p per item in 1980, and were a rip-off then. At 1.67p I don't see how RM aren't making a tidy sum from the Door 2 Dustbin service.
