Notice for parking restrictions?

Just before going on delivery today we were told by our DOM that as of this coming Monday no private vehicles can be parked on-site. This includes the staff car park to the side of the building. Obviously we knew this would happen eventually as the space will be needed for the CDVs once the revision comes in, but that's not for at least 2 weeks. The new CDVs aren't due until the beginning of next week so we can't understand his decision. Should we have been given notice of more than one day so people had time to look at alternatives? Our office is in north London and some people come in from Essex, Herts and one even from south London - all by car.

Yep we lost 60 car parking spaces & now bike it to work 4 miles it would be good if they let us take vans home but we are not allowed

A rota so those live furthest should get the spaces, would be fairest thing to do. In another office they do this, and also when the parked vans get moved the yard spaces are available until 3pm when distribution are about. Edmonton I take it?

i would worry if it still had 4 wheels leaving your car in that area.
as for a south london postie working in north-london did you lot not ask to see his passport.

We've never been allowed to park on site in my office.

We can't all afford cars here but we don't get the London Weighting.
