Catch 22?

Hello looking for some advice in what feels like a lose - lose situation.

So I've been on and off work with a virus, and then post viral syndrome (suspected) for around 4 months now. Up to a stage 2 warning and am trying to look for an option where I don't lose my job (Seems inevitable)

I have the choice of going sick and triggering a stage 3 warning (To a definite dismissal because of my short career - 2 years according to my manager)
or to come in to work when I don't feel able, and trying to complete a full round as 'they should not be accommodating me' and 'have given me too much help as it is'.

I have asked for Atos to be involved, which they are going to be, but been told that it is still at the managers digression whether to help me with light duties or not.

Just wondering if these are my actual options, I am applying for the CWU now and hopefully they can offer me help (Although there is no union rep in my office)


Hopefully someone reads this, I can give any information needed. Any advice appreciated. Thanks.

Once Atos are handling the case it will be down to the manager to work with them and what they recommend.

Finding light duties within your own office (depending on size) can be hard to achieve. However there is no reason that they cannot find you lighter work elsewhere, at a mail centre for example. Not ideal but if it means keeping your job.

Once your a CWU member you will need to find your area rep asap and get him/her on the case.

i heard they abolishing light duties and sending people to mail centres or callers instead.
