Royal Mail deliveries in Chessington could come later

Residents in Chessington could receive their post later than normal after changes to Royal Mail deliveries.

Because people are sending fewer letters and more heavy parcels, Royal Mail said, posties will load all their mail into vans rather than satchels and bike panniers.

It will continue to deliver post in the mornings and for a longer period during the day, but some residents could receive deliveries after lunch.

Delivery routes will be reorganised “to be as efficient as possible”, Royal Mail said.


Residents can expect a letter on their doormats explaining the changes.

Makes me laugh when I read theee announcements, mail could arrive later. The mail will arrive later, no could about it.

Makes me laugh too.
Once that crummy firm we slave for, decides to cut walks, the mail inevitably arrives later for many people.

How long before these revisions are these letters sent out ?
We have not delivered any as far as I'm aware ( I will check tomorrow )
Or do they not always send a letter out to the customers ?

The revision in my area started on Monday and we got the letter about it on the day it started
