Return after medical retirement

I was medically retired from Royal Mail after over 20 years service. This was almost 3 years ago. After many many treatments which I will not bore you with I feel like I could do the job again. On the terms of medical retirement it states that after 2 years there may be the possibility if returning. I have applied 5 times for temporary part time jobs. I have been refused every time. Twice the job advertised was removed after I applied. 3 times the Royal Mail letters team claim that I failed the online test to become a postman. A reasonably bright monkey could pass this test. After doing the job for over 20 years I would hope that I would pass this test. Of course there is no way to contact the HR Department with no email or telephone number displayed and no way of seeing the test results.I feel that because I was medically retired that I am being discriminated against. Any advice would be appreciated

Yeah, sounds like typical Royal Mail discrimination to me

You could call HR services on 0845 6060603 and ask them politely if you could see the test results to which they claim you have failed

20 years service should be sufficient to get you back in the business let alone online tests

Maybe the only real qualification you need these days is to be a relative of a DOM or DSM

Good to hear that you are fit and well, again but given all the bad news coming out of offices countrywide and the bleak looking future after privatisation, your failure to be re-engaged may be a blessing in disguise.Hopefully you can find something suitable that wouldnt threaten your mental or physical well being.Best of luck
