SHOCKED AT HOW WIDESPREAD B&H IS !!

I've only recently joined the forum and I knew B&H wasn't just a local thing but can't get my head round how widespread it really is !! Just reading comments made by other members I've realised that this is a major problem and in my eyes is NOT getting dealt with , I suffered B&H from management on a regular basis for about 18 months you know the usual name calling, performance related issues ( even though there wasn't any ) questioning , and it made me ill and I ended up going off with stress and when I returned back to work was greeted back with a stage 1 warning. This cannot continue so come on union get your act together because somewhere, someone is going to lose it and then finally after that takes place something will be done about it . It's no good giving us flyers and telephone numbers because in my eyes you need to get into the offices and see for yourselves what is really going on in the workplace, or do you already know ??

The problem is they have been given sufficient evidence from over 800 posties, but do not have the power or support to bring about change and are quite content to go down the Royal Mail line that individuals should take their personal cases up through the recognised channels and agreements that have been jointly agreed between CWU and Royal Mail. Unfortunately, all of us who have pursued these lines, know too well that Royal Mail does not follow nationally agreed procedures, and fails to accept that there is any form of bullying by it,s managers, and the individual is left to plough a lonely furrow against a company that has no concept of fair play, and cwu reps who quite often try their best, but are also quite often out of their depth.

Even to bring a claim of Constructive dismissal is a near impossibility these days due to new ET fees, and no way could I see any financial support offered from the union unless they thought the claim was strong enough to pursue.

to sign off to what happened and go through the b&h helpline. you can get there number all around the work place. Don't do nothing or it will become a life of misery. Any union reps in your office should be helping to prevent B&H and if not then they should't be your choice of representation.
