Fact finding Interview. How much notice

Hi all,

Can someone help please.

Can anybody tell me how much notice they have to give me for a fact finding interview and where i can find this in an agreement. Couldnt find it stated anywhere in the conduct code. If possible has anybody got an electronic copy of the document.

They should give you reasonable time to organise a companion, preferably a CWU rep.

Write and ask them for a copy of the relevant document you seek or write to HR. You must put everything in writing from now on and copy in your rep.

Have they told you what they are investigating?

It's in the Conduct Code I think, pretty sure it's 48hrs.

I was told 48 hours but cant find it anywhere.

Anyone any ideas of correct time i should be given.

48 hours for a formal conduct, no notice for a fact finding as that is all it is fact finding.

Fact finding is what it is so no notice needed. I believe it can also take place without a rep

You do not have a legal right to be
accompanied to an investigatory or
‘fact-finding’ meeting but the union
may have reached an agreement with
your employer that allows you to take
someone with you to any meeting to
discuss a problem at work.
