No round for me after revision!

We are currently going into the revision after 4 years delay. The current rounds have now been carved up and converted to either trollies or vans. My own round is now split between two others now. And they are planning a 4 week trial period to see how it goes. I have been told that there are other people trialing the two rounds that include my current delivery and for the moment are without any round. This also includes the people on the current packet duties. After the 4 weeks (or 6 months trial- depending who you talk to) there will be a re-sign. I have been at RM for 25 years and are at position 11 out of 50 people. Do I have any say in this? I am a non driver.

By "a non driver" do you mean 'can't drive' or 'won't drive' ?

Simple answer is that you do not really have a say! The same thing happened at ours...

2 people were chosen to pilot the first paired walks. One of them was on his main round (he is PT but worked FT throughout pilot and pre-resign) and the other round was given to another part-timer but that other round had been altered slightly so the walkholder became a Reserve (like you).

All I can say is that, as a senior Reserve, you might actually get some good rounds and sometimes stay indoors when the office is overstaffed - small consolation.

The pilot took about 1 month and then the rest of the office joined in but the general Re-pick did not happen until 8 months later. So, you might even be put on another round as a temp walkholder before the Repick if there is a spare walk such as a training round.

Why havn't you had a resign before your revision goes live

They are at a trial period... And resign does not often happen soon after going live

In the 2010 Agreement it States Pre deployment tasks are undertaken including training requirements to prepare the office/staff,(including resigns in line with the way forward agreement) POST REVISION MANAGEMENT "review of new duties and working arrangements after implementation. In other words resign before you go live and any problems sort them out later

at ours, those with seniority even if a non-driver got to pick their 1st choice providing the paired duty hadn't already been picked by a more senior non-driver.
obviously as the available duties dwindled down some had to be a driver.
suppose it depends on the size of the office.

Ha Ha we had our revision, 4 week trial period with 90% staying on the new GR rounds, 4 months later still waiting for resign to be implemented M
