why do we see in the press adverts for compo claims for,white finger,loss of hearing etc,yet nothing for the various inflictions we postal workers suffer from,backs,legs joint damage etc,surely the union can put together a test case together and fight for some compensation for postal workers who are suffering from back and leg problems like myself,after 30 years service in royal mail i think that is not a lot to ask for,medical retirement may sound good,but financially its not,other unions have taken the challenge on for there members,so come on c.w.u.fight for us oldies who are suffering.personally i and others think the we have a good case for industrial injury claims,p.s. i will be soon having surgery on my back when the consultant saw the results of the scan he knew i was a postman,another on a long list he told me.

thing is the union should try it plus we need someone who has been injured to try and see what happens

there has to loads of posties who are near enough crippled with the wear and tear there bodies have taken over the years.
