revision started and its shite.

we started our p&l revision a few weeks ago and it's a joke to be honest,I wont ramble I will just put a few points on.
the walks are now more imbalanced as before and there just moving work from one delivery to another in the hope someone will just accept it,the rurals are now all a piece of piss apart from one and its a bastard that's had work added,all the others had work removed.people going 2 hours over there finish time etc etc im sure you have all been through it.thing is its making people ill and folk who have been friends for years are falling out and arguing.my question is does it get any better with time.

In a word , no. Some staff finish early others go over everyday. A total nightmare which dosent improve given time. Walks are more out of "balance" than ever. What used to be a job I was proud to do has become a total mess.

I agree but our manager seems intent on it working no matter what,any fool could see its not working.its not been signed off yet so who knows.our manager is actually an ok fella but its the revision planner who is a complete prick.

ask the planner to try and f***ing do it , 3+ years with ours still s**t no chance of finishing on time more packets and parcels . the way forward.

a lot of the rurals in my office start after me and finish before me. and as for walks being equal thats a total joke. we have just started packet counts again as we are having a 2nd revision lets hope its not as s**t as the 1st

We have had a revision for a few months and it is pretty much as you have described. Massively inflated walks and now unbelievably easy rural's. All the old timers love it as their life has been made much easier. As for the towns its like swapping deck chairs on the Titanic. Stuff keeps get moving off one duty and onto another or on OT. Now it seems all the van shares are changing to one driver who does packets and one HCT. People still not getting done with loops and often not getting done with parcels and this is during the lull. The management have had all summer to sort this out and have not put in one single extra minute as I guess this would show it to be failing and interfere with their bonus. Next month is going to be a joke with Autumn pressure.

So as we get into the busy period its obvious that a lot of revisions will be exposed and fail massively,but what will be the result,surely we cant carry on like this as im sure the whole thing will implode.

It's more likely to happen if you keep cutting off rather than going over and completing.
