Possible SD failure?

Delivered a special today at 12:30. When i got back to the office at 13:10 i went to log off my PDA and the signature for the speical was still on the screen. I pressed next to send the signature and didnt think much of it, now i'm feeling a bit worried that this could go down as a failure.

What's the best course of action for me to take here?

Sign out when you were at office.

Impossible then for you to be in two places at once

My manager told me its the time you scan the SD that counts, For examply you could scan it at 12:59, old lady takes few mins to get to door, signs it at 13:05, its not a failure as its the 12:59 that is recorded, so i wouldnt worry

Had a special yesterday with SG plastered all over the item, the customer paid £10.56 for it to be delivered on Saturday, was posted on the 9th so who gets it in the neck for that failing .

under the new regime forced in why was the times of s/d items changed from 1.30pm to 1.00pm.
then starting times changed to a later start.all registered items put on the drivers not on walking staff.
if i fail tomorrow i will be on a discipline.at the moment this seems like the latest little game by management
to see how many staff they can do.
if this was your first failure i would not worry you have a long way to go yet.

Thanks for the replies. I think i'll tell manager tomorrow what happened and hopefully they will be ok about it, it was just a simple mistake and the item was in the customers hands before 1 anyway.

I had a pre 9am on Friday that was given to me as a special, needless to say it did'nt get there until 10:20 as I did'nt realise it was a pre 9.

mainly because it was an internet printoff and just black and white! so it's no wonder it did'nt get flagged.

it failed, but as long as the sender is happy that it got delivered everyone is happy.

Sometimes Comms switches off, I wouldn't worry about it because it'll record the time you did it and not the time you sent it. I've left SDs (along with Tracked and RDs) on the PDA for hours and had nothing said to me.

don't worry it happens to us all. did the same last week. I have also by mistake posted a special without signature. just tell dom.

The failures show up every Friday and are chased up by the hitlers or if it comes through on cleo

I always thought that the time was recorded when you scanned the item, not what time it was uploaded to the system
