How may people have bought down hours in your office we have had 14 out of an office of 160.

They had a preference exercise thats as far as it got. Had about 10 volunteering if my sources are correct, but Royal Mail didn't follow through.

In our office it takes about 2 weeks from asking to go part time to going part time each person picking up between £4000 and £15000 it's like they can't get them part time quick enough.

Do Buy Downs or EVR have to be offered by Local management or can they be negotiated with HR direct?

Buy downs and EVR can only happen as part of a revision process.
Those hours have to leave the unit.
It's got nothing to do with HR.
The societies of consumption and squandering of material resources are incompatible with the idea of economic growth and a clean planet.

So how come in my office hours needed to be lost in our revision, yet when I reduced my hours (meaning a part-timer could keep their job) I didn't get a bean? Was I just fobbed off?
