Hi all,

Quick question for you all, on implementing both methods and flow into our office some time back, I remember reading some where that once your office has gone through methods ie supposedly fully optimised that is the end of collapsing duties under summer efficiency, however I cant find the article, any one know where it is written...?

It isn't written down anywhere AFAIK. Lapsing is here to stay especially if traffic is below the model week. Once we agreed "work all paid hours" lapsing was written in stone I'm afraid.

It is written some where, my DOM suggested we collapsed a duty as the DSM was putting pressure on him to get office savings, I said we aint going to be doing that as we have gone through methods and we are fully optimised, he agreed and we haven't collapsed a duty until the other day due to high lvls of sick leave, we had to collapse our only bulk delivery, I know I have read that methods puts a end to summer collapsing, may have to go though all the paper work given at time of our revision.............lol.

When going through a revision this is something the dom and dsm like to 'put out there' to encourage staff.
The same people after the revision will quickly do the opposite and with a smile on their face ask you where it is written down.

If it's lower they can make you lapse, revision means nothing which I thought was the question.

on my shared route today we had 153 parcels (packets are parcels now also). even ith iwt saying we had time on my route we did not have so did not lapse. iwt is only an indicator you can lapse but other factors have to be accounted for so it is not set in stone. you might also have your feed late and it will knock on so then you cannot lapse
