Job share

Anyone out there doing a job share,if so is it working and how. I would like to do a job share but need some ideas to put through to my manager

I'm doing it, quite simple really.. 2 people sharing one full time position, so I get paid 19 hrs per week every week, but I only work every other week, come out with £180 a week, and I'm virtually guaranteed overtime on my ''off week'' if I want it, due to the short staffing... best thing I ever did!

We've a number in our office, most are on 24hr contracts as I like to try and keep the IPS on the duty, the OPG who do them seem to be happy enough.

Been job sharing for 6 years. 21 hour contracts for both job share partner and myself. Do Thursday/Friday/Saturday/Monday /Tuesday/Wednesday then have same period off for a week. Works out great, do another self employed job on weeks off, so get variety of work and time to rest and recover from Royal Mail.

Any of the job share workers had any issues when it's come to the revision and repick?
Got told only last week, nearly half way through the repick, that the 19 and a half hour per week job share jobs are classed as FULL time insted of part time, as you would think they would be working a 19 and a half hour week.
So now, like a lot of people in here who are losing out on jobs to the part timers having the better choice, the chances are that they will have the dregs, i.e. a floater or reserve.
Anyway, not complaining about specifics, but are there any job share people having this issue?
