LOSS OF DWP CONTRACT

Due to the loss of the DWP contract the staff that were performing the duties that we had performing that work have been told after 1st December they no longer have duties and have been told the mail centre has no longer have vacant duties for them to be transferred to on any shift. How do they stand? has Royal Mail a obligation to find them a job with same hours within the mail centre or our they entitled to EVR. I believe all offices that have DWP section may face same problem. Management don't have any answers to concerned staff and are totally in the black to what will happen. Has any one heard anything on this matter.
